Breakaway.....
Our flight too Cheticamp, Nova Scotia stopped over in Montreal for an hour before heading out to Halifax. During said stopover, I had a drink with another participant in the airports' bar. Bad idea. It turns out that vodka at 9am, combined with a decent case of jet lag really kills your dynamic, to say the least. I was out for most of the next flight to Halifax, which I hated because I love flying. We got to Halifax at about noon where we realized that two people from our group never got on the second plane and we had to wait for them for five hours. Once we finally got underway, I started talking too a girl named Blaire who I barely talked to at all before because her group was so far away from us. It turns out she's incredibly cool and we talked for about five-and-a-half straight hours.
1: Welcome to winter.....
We got to Cheticamp at about 10:30pm. Our new project leader greeted us and helped us unpacked our things. For the first few days she made it seem as if she only spoke french and kept it up very well. I was a little disapointed when we found out she spoke perfect english. It is whitheringly cold out here. I mean, not just because its winter, there are extreme amounts of wind out here and that makes it COLD. My job placement out here is at a school, doing T.A. style work. Sandie went crazy from cabin fever due to our place being very isolated. All of the other groups came over to our house for christmas, which was fun. Saw Blaire again which was cool, but apparently she's leaving soon which sucks.
2: Rock bottom.....
Blaire left a couple weeks after Christmas. I only saw her a couple of times but I'm going to miss her. Work is going well. Seeing other groups, even as rarely as we do is great. However, this place is DEPRESSING! Its freezing, which wouldn't be so bad if we weren't so far away from everything. Its about a 25 minute walk to the nearest building. Talking to This girl through e-mail, glad to be staying in contact with her after my house's month-long computer malfunction. Gave a martial arts class to the rest of my group, just basic stuff but I got to show off at the end. Demonstrated some throws and managed to throw a guy who was easily twice my size. So I was pretty impressed with myself for that. On our 48 hours off i went to Sydney and chilled, a lot. I went to future shop and over the course of five-and-a-half hours I beat Halo 3 from start to finish. After that I went to see Cloverfield. Sweet movie.
3: Where do we go when we just don't know.....
Rob and Carolyn left the group the day before billeting started, which sucks. Unfortunetly I think I'm the only one who's going to miss them. Billeting itself was nowhere nearly as good as the first rotation's bileting period. My billet person seems to be just an inherently angry person. That said I don't have to do workshops during this time and I have satilite TV, so it was kind of a mixed blessing when it ended.
To be completed.............

You're standing in my doorway seven cities ago, The days are racing, but you come back too slow. You're the finest thing I've ever done. The hurricane I can't outrun. I could wait around for the dust to still, But I don't believe it ever will.
